Brophy Family

Sonoita, Arizona, beef producers Ben Brophy and his family run the Babacomari Ranch Co., which has been in the Brophy family for four generations. Since 1935 the family has been raising cattle and enhancing the quality of the 28,300-acre ranch. The Brophys are committed to providing the best possible example of land stewardship and to helping other producers and the general public appreciate the benefits of that stewardship. Dedicated to protecting endangered species, the Brophys are working with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to develop a complex plan to save the Gila Chub, an Arizona threatened fish species located on their lands.
